Mock Drafting Season

"'Tis the season to be jolly." And while it may not be Christmas time just yet, it is time to begin mock drafting if you want to have success in your upcoming fantasy season. In this forum I will give you tips on the best sites to mock draft on, as well as the key differences between them. Enjoy and happy drafting!

Sleeper.App

Sleeperbot is a website that specializes in all things fantasy football. The new site features a modern, easy to use template with options to talk with real life users in live chats, catch up on recent news, and mock draft. Sleeperbot's mock drafting system allows you to customize regular settings like league size, minutes per selection, roster makeup, and scoring format. However, what sets Sleeperbot apart from its competitors is the fact that you can draft in dynasty and keeper format drafts for free. You don't need to sign up for any account or pay any premiums to access this extremely helpful feature.

Draftwizard.Fantasypros.com

Draftwizard was the site that I used all of last year for my mock drafts. The drafts are super quick, and the site contains all of the usual settings such as league size, minutes per selection, roster makeup, and scoring format. However, this site does not allow users to change their league format to dynasty or keeper leagues without paying for a subscription.

Why You Should Use Sleeper.App

The mock drafting software on Sleeperbot is superior to the software on Draftwizard because of Draftwizard's tendency to draft running backs later than a realistic drafting situation. This causes players that use Draftwizard to subconsciously lean towards a zero running back draft strategy because of their experience getting quality running backs in the later rounds. The mock draft software for Sleeperbot is more accurate with its estimate of when running backs will be taken. It also contains small but important draft trends like teams taking defenses as early as the 10th round and quarterbacks sliding later than past seasons. Sleeperbot produces a superior and more realistic draft experience for users, which is why I recommend mock drafting with Sleeperbot from now on.

Good luck to everyone drafting!
Hopefully around the time that you are singing Christmas carols you will also have a fantasy championship to celebrate!

  1. Great insights and advice... Thank you! You have masterful insights into the nexus of technology and sports. Looking forward to the season beginning. Also, sorry about your Bears loss to the Ravens in the Hall of Fame Game the other day... I was rooting for them. Your grandfather's cousin, Emory Morehead, used to play for the Chicago Bears!

J's Fantasy Overreactions Through 2 Weeks

I don't have a long-winded intro about my life for you guys this time -- so let's get right into it.  Here are my fantasy overreactions 2 weeks into the 2024 season.  Brock Bowers is a LEAGUE WINNER:  It's really funny. Because going into the 2022 season, it was a known fact that rookie tight-ends just don't produce. With the plethora of things that tight ends are expected to do in offensive schemes, it just usually takes a few years for players to get up to speed and start producing in ways that are useful for fantasy. Then, the unthinkable happened, Sam Laporta put up a 86 reception, 889 yard, 10 touchdown season as a rookie. And oddly enough, I think Brock Bowers is about to put that season to shame.  Through two games, Bowers is on pace for 128 receptions and 1,326 yards, and he's doing this all AS A ROOKIE. The fantasy community is hot and bothered over a few rookie performances from this past week, but only Malik Nabers and Marvin Harrison are being menti...

Hatred and Long-Distance Sleepers

I promise I'm not a negative person, but god I HATE summer in NYC.  I hate the heat. I hate sweating. I hate all the extra children on the streets. I hate being forced to wear pants to work even though it feels like 98 degrees without factoring in humidity. I hate the smell of dog shit when it's cooking on the pavement. I hate the bugs that come out of nowhere. I hate the increased electric bill from running my A/C. I hate the increased traveling prices. I hate all the tourists who decide to fly here, immediately find the street that I am on, and walk slowly in front of me. I hate every train station that is 95 degrees. And most of all I hate people who try to convince themselves and others that summer in this city is so amazing.  You know who you are.  Now, let's get into the sleepers. Every offseason some players are selfish dickheads and change teams with no regard for what it will do to the fantasy community. Right when you are finally feeling confident about who they...

Key Takeaways from Week 5 & Key Takeaways from Adulting

Honestly, my least favorite part of adulting might be my growing amount of responsibilities that happen to occur on a Sunday. I miss college when I could go to the gym on a Tuesday at noon or get a haircut on a Thursday at 2 PM. It made it so much easier to relax on the weekends and focus on things like football and going out. Now that I've settled into the 9-5 life, I spend my weekends doing all the things I don't have time to do during the week anymore. It's honestly demoralizing and makes me realize how good I used to have it in school. But it also makes me that much more grateful for the sacrifices that some parents have to make when their child is growing up. I can't imagine going to work all day and then coming home to deal with parenting. Cooking for MULTIPLE people? Changing diapers? Using my brain to help with Homework? I know I'm speaking from a young mind here but that frankly just sounds unsustainable. Point is, make sure to tell your parents/guardians t...
