Mock Drafting Season

"'Tis the season to be jolly." And while it may not be Christmas time just yet, it is time to begin mock drafting if you want to have success in your upcoming fantasy season. In this forum I will give you tips on the best sites to mock draft on, as well as the key differences between them. Enjoy and happy drafting!

Sleeper.App

Sleeperbot is a website that specializes in all things fantasy football. The new site features a modern, easy to use template with options to talk with real life users in live chats, catch up on recent news, and mock draft. Sleeperbot's mock drafting system allows you to customize regular settings like league size, minutes per selection, roster makeup, and scoring format. However, what sets Sleeperbot apart from its competitors is the fact that you can draft in dynasty and keeper format drafts for free. You don't need to sign up for any account or pay any premiums to access this extremely helpful feature.

Draftwizard.Fantasypros.com

Draftwizard was the site that I used all of last year for my mock drafts. The drafts are super quick, and the site contains all of the usual settings such as league size, minutes per selection, roster makeup, and scoring format. However, this site does not allow users to change their league format to dynasty or keeper leagues without paying for a subscription.

Why You Should Use Sleeper.App

The mock drafting software on Sleeperbot is superior to the software on Draftwizard because of Draftwizard's tendency to draft running backs later than a realistic drafting situation. This causes players that use Draftwizard to subconsciously lean towards a zero running back draft strategy because of their experience getting quality running backs in the later rounds. The mock draft software for Sleeperbot is more accurate with its estimate of when running backs will be taken. It also contains small but important draft trends like teams taking defenses as early as the 10th round and quarterbacks sliding later than past seasons. Sleeperbot produces a superior and more realistic draft experience for users, which is why I recommend mock drafting with Sleeperbot from now on.

Good luck to everyone drafting!
Hopefully around the time that you are singing Christmas carols you will also have a fantasy championship to celebrate!

  1. Great insights and advice... Thank you! You have masterful insights into the nexus of technology and sports. Looking forward to the season beginning. Also, sorry about your Bears loss to the Ravens in the Hall of Fame Game the other day... I was rooting for them. Your grandfather's cousin, Emory Morehead, used to play for the Chicago Bears!

Some RB Analysis Or Whatever

I promise y'all..... I really did try and stay away. I've been focused on work, I tried to go viral on TikTok, I even started listening to my girlfriend's weekly rants about why she shouldn't have to work anymore. But alas, it just hasn't been the same. And if I'm being honest, the nail in the coffin has been seeing these fantasy "analysts" on Twitter spouting nonsense and getting tens of thousands of likes per post. I saw a tweet this week  actually  encouraging people to draft Jerry Jeudy and then trade him for Bhayshul Tuten after Week 1. Yep, the same Bhayshul Tuten currently going undrafted in 12-man leagues. Like I KNOW I can do better than these people. Or maybe that's just my narcissism talking. Either way, let's dive into some RB analysis or whatever.  A common narrative within the fantasy community is that you want to invest in running backs who are on good teams. And if we review the last few seasons, this has generally been a benef...

J's 2025 Fantasy Overreactions Through 2.5 Weeks

I know as a Gen Z man, being humble is like "in" right now, but if I'm being honest, sometimes I just can't help it. I like being right almost as much as I like reminding people that I was right. And yes, some people would call that conceited or sassy  -   ugh, god I hate that word. But to those people, I'd say they should look inward, because I only relish in reminding someone I was right when they were adamant that I was wrong in the first place! Around this time last year, I released an article called "J's Fantasy Overreactions Through 2 Weeks", where I gave my opinions on some early-season developments & proposed some trades that fantasy managers should consider making. And to everybody's surprise except my own.... I nailed them! Let's take a look at the three trades I proposed:  Proposed Deal #1: I'd trade any tight end in fantasy for Bowers straight-up. Bowers finished as the TE1 Proposed Deal #2 : I'd trade Sam Laporta for ...

Rapid Fire Late Round WR Sleepers

"You wanna play rough? Ok....ok..... Say hello to my little friend!" "Blow blow blow." [You get it? Rapid Fire...Scarface...Blow Blow?.... OK I'll Stop] Below this current sentence that you are reading and my scarface reference lie the reasons that I am drafting running back heavy in nearly every mock draft I do. 2020 IS THE YEAR OF THE WIDE RECEIVER. There are receivers going in the 4th round that can finish in the top 5, and there are receivers that are going outside the top 100 picks that can be weekly contributors for your team. Lucky for you, I'm going to give you my selections for late-round sleepers at the wide receiver position that are outside of the top 100 picks. {ADP is based on 12 team PPR Redraft Leagues as of 8/7/20} Desean Jackson    [Current ADP: 11.11] Despite the immense fantasy hype surrounding sophomore Miles Sanders this season, the Philidelphia Eagles are, in fact, going to have a passing attack in 2020. Number 1 receiver Alshon Jeffer...
